- I cannot find my playlists any more, what sould I do?
You should sign in in order to reach your account and your playlists. Click on "Login" on the top right, enter your email address and the password you chose when singing up, and then confirm by clicking on "Login" underneath.
- Why sould I register ?
By registering, you join the Deezer community and create your personal space. You will be able to make your own playlists, send messages to your contacts, write comments, add artists and albums to your favourites
- How do I register?
Click on "Register" on the top right, and fill in the register form.
- Why should I choose a nickname ?
Your nickname is your only username in the Deezer community. Your friends will be able to find you thanks to your nickname.
- Why is my nickname rejected ?
Your nickname is your only username in the Deezer community. Two users cannot have the same nickname, so you should pick another one.
- Why sould I enter an email address ?
You need to enter a valid email address to confirm your subscription. You will also have the possibility (depending on the options you choose in "My Preferences") to receive email alerts on various themes (the Deezer newsletter, friend invitations, etc.).
- I am not receiving emails from Deezer. Why ?
Your email service may consider Deezer as an untrusted sender.
- Why is my password rejected ?
A minimum of 6 characters in length is needed for your password.
- How do I login ?
Click on "Login" on the top right, enter your email address and the password you chose when signing up and click on "Login" to confirm.
- Why am I automatically signed in ?
You are automatically signed in thanks to the cookies set up on your computer. You can delete them with your web browser. In this case, you will have to login on your next visit, because the login process will not be automatic any more.
- Can I watch videos on Deezer ?
Yes, you can reach videos through the artist page.
- What should I do if I forgot my passowrd?
Click on "Login" on the top right, and then on "Forgotten password?". Enter the email address you gave when signing up and a new password will be automatically sent to this address.
- The website says that I have to update the Flash player. How can I do that ?
For increased performance and safety, you need to setup Flash Player 10. Please go to : http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
- After a certain time, I get from the website that I have reached the maximum number of listenings without being logged in. Why ?
You can listen to 15 tracks without logging in. Beyond that number, you need to click on the "Login" button to sign in, or on the "Sign up" button to create an account. Once logged in, the number of listenings is unlimited !
- How can I buy the track I am listening to ?
Click on the "Download" tab of the player in the "Music" section, or click on the "+" button located on the left of the track and then on "Download". You will be redirected to a partner online store to complete your purchase.
- How can I get the direct link to the track I am listening to ?
You can share the track you are listening to by clicking on the "Share" tab of the player in the music section. You can then pass on to your friends the address located in the "Permalink" field of the player. You can also share the track directly on Facebook, Twitter... by clicking on the corresponding icon.
- How do I add the track I am listening to to one of my playlists ?
Click on the "Current playlist" button located in the player. Once you see the track list, click on the "+" button located on the left of the track of your choice, then click on "Add to a playlist" and select the playlist of your choice.
- How can I see the album page, which corresponds to the track I am listening to ?
Click on the name of the track/artist to reach the album page directly.
- How do I use the coverflow option (selection of a track through its cover) ?
You can click on the covers displayed in the player to make them scroll left or right. Double-click on the cover to play the track of your choice. You can also use the left and right arrows of your keyboard to scroll through the covers, and then press the "p" key to play a track.
- How do I change the playing mode ?
To change the playing mode, just click on the dedicated buttons in the player. You can choose between the shuffle mode, the repeat mode and the repeat only once mode, which allows you to play the track again, but only once.
- How do I activate the visual effects ("spectrum") ?
Click on the "Options" tab in the player of the "Music" section, and check the "Activate visual effects" box. Be careful, visual effects do not work if you are listening to music from another page in your web browser.
- How do I activate the cross-fade ?
Click on the "Options" tab in the player of the "Music" section. You can then set the fade in and fade out (from 0 to 10 seconds) to move smoothly from one song to the next.
- How do I activate the equalizer ?
Click on the "Options" tab in the player of the "Music" section, and check the "Activate the equalizer" box. From there, you can set the bass, medium, and high levels as you wish.
- I hear sound cuts when playing a song, what sould I do ?
The equalizer requires a powerful computer. If you hear sound cuts, you had better turn it off
- How do I create a playlist ?
Go to the "Music" section and click on the "New Playlist" button in the left menu. Enter a name, and press the "Enter" key. You just created a playlist !
- What are the different statuses for a playlist ?
A "public" playlist can be seen by anyone. A "private" playlist can be seen only by you.
- How do I add a track to a playlist ?
Click on the "+" button located on the left of the track name, click on the "Add to a playlist" button and then select the playlist of your choice. You can also drag and drop the track of your choice onto the playlist name in the left menu.
- How do I add simultaneously several tracks to a playlist ?
In the track list, check the boxes located on the right of the tracks you are interested in, click on the "+" button (either the one located on the top right of the list or the one located on the left of one of the selected tracks), and select the playlist of your choice.
- How do I listen to my playlist ?
Go to the "Music" section. Your playlist is available in the left menu. Click on it to display its content. Click on the "Listen to the playlist" button to play it, or click on the arrow located on the left of a track to play the playlist from this track (only the currently displayed and following pages will be played).
- How do I change the track order of my playlist ?
Go to your playlist page, select the tracks by clicking on them, and move them as you wish. You can drag and drop a track onto a page number to move it to that page.
- How I delete a track from my playlist ?
Select the track in your playlist, click on the X located on the top right and confirm by clicking on "Yes".
- How do I share my playlist ?
Go to the page of your playlist. You can directly share it by clicking on one of the icons available in the share menu (Facebook, Twitter, etc.). Click on the "Permalink" icon to get the link to your playlist, and then on "Copy".
- How do I edit my playlist information ?
Click on the "Edit this playlist" button.
- What is a "collaborative" playlist ? How does it work ?
A collaborative playlist allows other Deezer members to add but not to delete tracks. To activate the collaborative mode, check the "Collaborative" box while editing your playlist. A link appears : pass on this collaborative link to the Deezer members of your choice. This link is the only one allowing others to add tracks to your playlist. You can desactivate the collaborative mode at any time.
- How do I delete my playlist ?
Click on the "Delete this playlist" button.
- Starting from my playlist, how do I customize the player for my blog ?
On your playlist page, click on the "Embedded player" button. The page you will be redirected to will allow you to customize the player and get the insertion code.
- Can I add my personal MP3s to my playlists ?
Yes, you can ! Go to the "My MP3s" section, add the tracks of your choice to your playlists as you would do it with tracks from the Deezer catalogue. Be careful, you will be the only one able to play these tracks, your personal MP3s added to your playlist will not be available to the other Deezer members.
- Is there a limit to the number of tracks I can add to a playlist ?
Yes there is, your playlists are limited to 500 tracks !
- Can a public playlist be available in my personal space ?
Yes, it can ! Go to the public page of this playlist, and click on "Add to my Favourites". From now on, the playlist will be available in your left menu.
- I cannot see the track being played in the playlist, what should I do ?
The current playlist (reachable from the left menu) is the only playlist displaying the track being played.
- What is the upload of MP3s ?
The upload (the transfer to our servers) of your files in MP3 format allows you to have an online music library. The tracks you add are hosted by Deezer and available at any time on the "My MP3s" page which is reachable in the left menu of the "Music" section.
- How can I add my files ?
In the "Music" section, click on "My MP3s". Click on the "Install" button to setup the "Deezer Desktop" application, which is dedicated to the upload of music. Once the application is set up, launch it by double-clicking on its icon (located on your computer desktop)
- How many MP3 files can I add?
You can add as many MP3 files as you want, there is no limit. However, the size of the MP3 files cannot exceed 10 Mb.
- I uploaded files, but some information is missing, what can I do ?
You can edit the information about a file by double-clicking on the name/artist/album of the track.
- Can I add my personal MP3s to my playlists ?
Yes, you can. You have to proceed the same way you do with tracks from the Deezer catalogue. Be careful, you will be the only one able to play these tracks.
- Can I delete my MP3s ?
Yes, you can, by using the "Deezer Desktop" application. Click on the red X on the bottom right of the track list.
