When Maarten was born in Rouen at the end of the 1990's influenced by English and American music, the band decided to play a different kind of pop, combining classical rock elements and brass instruments as well as strings. The band released its first EP "our most beautiful days" in 1999 and the feedback from the french musical press was very good (Les Inrockuptibles, Magic,...). In 2005, Maarten released its first LP "pictures of a Danish girl" and featured on several compilations (Les Inrockup...

Un peu dans la meme veine que Tahiti80 : meme voix douces et chaudes, instrumentalisation qui alterne des rythmes lents/rapides.
