Parti du post-punk revisité à la sauce new-yorkaise, Liars a rapidement enlevé cette étiquette à sa musique pour aller vers un rock expérimental avec les albums They Were Wrong, So We Drowned (2004) et Drum's Not Dead (2006), enregistré à Berlin. En 2007, l'album Liars est centré sur l'utilisation d'un nouvel instrument, le Moodswinger. Liars est un groupe isolé, en constante évolutiion. Copyright Music Story 2009
