Thomas Dutronc is a French jazz manouche guitarist and singer. Born to singer, songwriter and guitarist Françoise Hardy and singer, songwriter, guitarist and actor Jacques Dutronc, Thomas became enamoured with gypsy jazz as a teenager, taking a love of Django Reinhardt's work in particular.
Despite early ambitions to become a photographer Dutronc began studying gypsy guitar in his late teens and went on to collaborate with a number of artists ranging from his parents to Bireli Lagrene to Henri Salvador.
He debuted as a solo artist in 2007 with 'Comme un manouche sans guitare', making it to number seven in the Belgian charts and to number five in France. He followed it with a live version in 2009, 'Silence on tourne, on tourne en rond' (which peaked at number two in both France and Belgium) and 'Jazz Manouche by Thomas Dutronc' in 2011, 'Éternels jusqu'à demain' in 2015 and 'Live Is Love' in 2018.
