Daniel de Bourg, born April 13, 1976, in Chelmsford, Essex, England, is a singer. At age eleven, he received a full scholarship to study at the Royal Ballet School and later performed with the Rambert Dance Company. De Bourg's music career began after a knee injury led him to focus on songwriting; his first notable success came when "Money" was recorded by Jamelia in 2000. In 2001, he released his self-titled debut album, Daniel de Bourg. His second album, Tell the World, was released in 2002 and featured the single "I Need an Angel", which reached number 30 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. De Bourg's mixtapes, including The DDB Mixtape Vol. 1: The Prelude (2010), won 'Best R&B Mixtape' awards in 2011 and subsequent years. In 2014, his album London Bread, produced by Boi-1da, hit the top 20 on iTunes in 21 countries.
