The Perfect Disaster were an English alternative rock ensemble from Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire active between 1980 and 1991. The group was established by the singer and guitarist Phil Parfitt. Their recording career began as Orange Disaster with the extended play “Something's Got to Give” (1980). After performing as The Architects of Disaster, they released the debut studio recording The Perfect Disaster (1985) through the label Kampa. They achieved professional recognition for the tracks “Hey Hey Hey” (1987) and “Bluebell” (1990). Their discography includes the studio recordings Asylum Road (1988) and Up (1989), the latter of which reached number 15 on the UK Indie Chart. The ensemble became inactive in 1991 following the release of the extended play Rise (1990) and the studio recording Heaven Scent (1990).
