The SoapGirls is a South African punk rock duo formed in 2004 in Cape Town by sisters Camille and Noémie Debray. They began as street performers selling homemade soaps produced by their mother Sam Debray. Their debut album Calls for Rebellion was released in 2016. The SoapGirls gained attention for energetic live performances and provocative stage presence, often performing nearly nude. Subsequent albums include Societys Rejects (2017), Elephant in the Room (2019) and In my Skin (2022). Notable singles are "Bad Bitch" (2016) and "One Way Street" (2019). They have toured extensively across Europe, including performances at the Rebellion Punk Music Festival in Blackpool. Their music has been featured on BBC Radio 1 and Planet Rock Radio, receiving critical acclaim from outlets like Classic Rock and Daily Mirror.
