One Shot was a short-lived French hip-hop collective created by IAM in 2000 to contribute to the soundtrack of the film Taxi 2, directed by Gérard Krawczyk and produced by Luc Besson. The group was assembled around six rappers and singers, including Faf Larage, Jalane, Disiz, Taïro, Nuttea, and Vasquez Lusi, with Shurik'N providing artistic direction and Fifi as the sound engineer. Their sole studio album, Taxi 2, was recorded over three weeks in the studio La Cosca and released on March 27, 2000, featuring the hits “Millénaire” and “Elles dansent”, with “Millénaire” and “Lettre ouverte” released as singles. The album received critical acclaim, was awarded a gold disc for sales between 100,000 and 400,000 copies, and was later reissued in the compilation album Best of Taxi. Due to individual commitments to other projects and solo careers, the members chose not to continue as a performing live group.
