Norte Cartel is a Brazilian hardcore band from Rio de Janeiro, formed on April 21, 2006, by former members of the band Solstício. The band's sound draws heavily from New York Hardcore, incorporating metal influences and shouted vocals. In 2008, Norte Cartel released a split album with the Argentine hardcore group Otra Salida. Following this release, the lineup was bolstered by the addition of vocalist Felipe Chehuan (also of the band Confronto). Their debut full-length album, Fiel a Tradição, was released in 2010, followed by an international edition titled Loyal to Tradition. The band’s latest full-length album, De volta ao jogo, was issued on April 7, 2017, though they have continued to release singles into 2025. Norte Cartel has toured extensively throughout Brazil and South America.
