Forest Drive West is the pseudonym of London-based producer Joe Baker, a British electronic artist known for his deep, atmospheric techno as well as his jungle-influenced club music. Emerging in the mid-2010s on underground labels such as Livity Sound, Rupture, and Hidden Hawaii, he quickly established himself as a key figure in the experimental techno scene between Bristol and London. In addition to numerous singles and EPs, including Jungle Crack (2016), Persistence of Memory (2017), Cenote (2018), Set Free (2019), and They Live (2019), he released the album Apparitions (2018), characterized by a style blending various shades of techno and UK bass. In 2020, he kicked off the decade with the EP Parallel Space, followed by Mantis 01 and Terminus that same year. This was followed by Dualism (2021), Recursion (2022), Creeper (2022), and Masking (2025). In 2026, Forest Drive West released his second album, Mantis 1920, on the Dutch label Mantis.
