Travon DaShawn Frank Smart, known professionally as Jimmy Wopo, was an American rapper born on January 13, 1997, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In early 2015, Wopo began uploading original tracks to his SoundCloud account, which gained traction through the efforts of Taylor Maglin, owner of The Daily Loud blog. His breakthrough came with the single “Elm Street” in 2016, produced by Stvii B, which was featured on Complex's "'Bout to Blow" list. Following this success, Wopo collaborated with notable artists including Wiz Khalifa and Sonny Digital. In 2016, he released his debut mixtape Woponese. His subsequent releases included the solo albums Jordan Kobe (2017) and Back Against The Wall (2017). Wopo was killed in a drive-by shooting on June 18, 2018.
