Ray Collins' Hot-Club is a German band formed in 2000 by vocalist and composer Andreas Kollenbroich, who was born on August 28, 1971 in Düren, Germany. Under the stage name Ray Collins, Kollenbroich guided the band’s blend of swing, blues, and rock ’n’ roll. The group first gained attention with the album Shaking That Boogie (2001), followed by Honk My Horn (2003) and Tohuwabohu (2005). Subsequent releases include Lord Oh Lord (2007), Goes Intercontinental (2010), High Life (2012), Life Story (2012), a collaboration with Big Jay McNeely, Cutting Out (2014), 1 To 5 Jive (2017), and When Night Comes to Berlin (2019). These releases expanded their international touring circuit and secured collaborations with artists such as Big Jay McNeely and Mike Sanchez. Soundtrack work for films such as Barfuss (2014) and Honig im Kopf (2014), featuring their song “Barefoot”, highlighted their crossover appeal.
