8th Day is an American Hasidic pop rock band based in Los Alamitos, California, formed in 2004 by the brothers Shmuel and Bentzion Marcus. The group's debut studio album, Tracht Gut, was released on April 1, 2005. The second album, Brooklyn, which was mixed by Andy Haller, followed on August 8, 2007. In 2011, the band gained significant popularity with the release of the studio album Chasing Prophecy and its lead single “Ya'alili”, whose music video became a viral hit on YouTube. The group also released the studio albums All You Got (2012), Hooleh! (2014), Inner Flame (2015), Slow Down (2017), Stronger Closer (2018), and Lucky (2021). The band's musical influences include power pop, blues, reggae, and traditional Jewish music. The members have performed at venues including the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, American Airlines Arena, and Universal CityWalk.
