Adèle Anderson, born on June 14, 1952, in Southampton, Hampshire, is a singer and actress. She began her career as a jazz singer after working as a civil servant and secretary. In 1984, she joined the cabaret group Fascinating Aïda, contributing lyrics to most of their songs and performing with them extensively. She has appeared in various theatrical productions, including The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Follies, and Into the Woods. In 1995, Anderson was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Entertainment with Fascinating Aïda. Additionally, she is known for her acting roles in television shows like Hotel Babylon and New Tricks. Anderson released two solo albums: Why Try to Change Me Now? (2010) and Everything Happens to Me (2011).
