Oliver Knight is a British singer-songwriter and sound engineer who was born in Kingston upon Hull, England, in 1969. He achieved professional recognition in 1996 with the release of the album Once in a Blue Moon and is famous for a long-standing writing partnership with his mother, the folk musician Lal Waterson. Knight established a reputation as a sound engineer at Panda Sound, where he has recorded more than 120 albums and worked with artists including Kate & Anna McGarrigle. His discography includes the collaborative recordings Once in a Blue Moon (1996) and the posthumous release A Bed of Roses (1998). He also released the solo studio recording Mysterious Day (2002) and collaborated with his sister, Marry Waterson, on the studio recordings The Days That Shaped Me (2011) and Hidden (2012).
