Faraquet is an American post-hardcore band from Washington D.C. formed in 1997 by Devin Ocampo, Chad Molter, and Jeff Boswell. Drawing influences from progressive and rock artists like King Crimson and Sonic Youth, the trio released the singles “Parakeet / Um Die Ecke” in 1998 and “Whole Thing Over / Call It Sane” in 1999. That same year, they released the Akarso / Faraquet Split EP. Their debut full-length album, The View from This Tower, was released in 2000 on Dischord Records. The band disbanded in 2001, but a compilation of their early work, Anthology 1997-98, was released in 2008. After playing occasional shows in Brazil and Washington D.C. between 2007 and 2008, the trio reformed in April 2025. They subsequently performed several shows in the Mid-Atlantic area and the Los Angeles area during 2025.
