Heyrocco, an American indie rock band from Charleston, South Carolina, was formed in 2009 by guitarist/vocalist Nathan Merli, bassist Christopher Cool, and drummer Tanner Cooper. The trio met during their school years and began writing music together in a garage. Their first recording, Comfort, was released in April 2012 following a successful Kickstarter campaign. Heyrocco's breakthrough came with the release of their debut album, Teenage Movie Soundtrack, in June 2015 via Old Flame Records and Vital Music Group. The band toured extensively, supporting acts such as Grouplove and Surfer Blood, and played notable shows in Europe including a sold-out headline slot at KOKO in London. Notable singles include "Elsewhere" which was featured on BBC Radio 1's #FUTURER1 by Zane Lowe. In 2017, the band relocated to Los Angeles, California, and later adopted the name Chemical Therapy in 2024 after adding guitarist Pat Mertens.
