Ed's Redeeming Qualities was an alternative folk group founded in Boston in 1988 by Dani Leone, Dom Leone, Carrie Bradley, and Neno Perrotta. The band released their first EP Ed's Day in 1989. In 1990, they released the critically acclaimed album More Bad Times. Dom Leone died of cancer in 1989. Jonah Winter joined for later albums including Big Grapefruit Cleanup Job (1995) and At the Fish & Game Club (1996). Their song "Drivin' on 9" was covered by The Breeders on their album Last Splash, providing mainstream exposure to Ed's Redeeming Qualities. In 1996, they provided the soundtrack for the indie movie Ed's Next Move. After disbanding, members pursued various careers. The band played a reunion show in January 22, 2011.
