Submarine was an English noise pop band active during the early to mid-1990s, known for a sound influenced by groups such as The Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev, Boo Radleys, and My Bloody Valentine before later evolving into Jetboy DC. The group initially gained traction with their self-titled debut album, released in 1994 and produced by Keith Cleversley. This album was followed by extensive touring alongside notable bands such as Flaming Lips, Radiohead, and Tool. In 1995, the group disbanded, leading to the formation of Jetboy DC by Neil Haydock and Rob Harron. The band's second album was recorded with Cleversley but initially rejected by their label and was later released on Taky Recordings. Additionally, they contributed two Peel Sessions for BBC presenter John Peel’s radio show in 1993 and 1994. Their discography includes compilations such as Kiss Me Till Your Ears Burn Off (1994).
