Paulo Alfonso Fernández Gallo, known professionally as Paulito F.G., was a Cuban singer born on January 11, 1962. He began his career singing with Adalberto Álvarez and Dan Den before joining Opus 13. In the early 1990s, he took over leadership of the group. Notable releases include El bueno soy yo (1996) and Con la conciencia tranquila (1997), considered by many to be his masterpiece. Paulito F.G. was known for his innovative approach to timba music, incorporating elements from different folkloric sources. He continued to release albums including Una vez más...por amor (2000) and Un poquito de to' (2006). Gallo died on March 1, 2025 in Havana after a car accident.
