Singer, songwriter and all-around entertainer, Jaye Valentine, is back on the scene. While traditional standards categorize her music as Urban Contemporary, her sound is anything but one-note, pulling from rock, classical, country,
hip-hop, gospel and the soulful sounds of her fave of all time, Aretha Franklin. Jaye has been captivating audiences since she first started singing in church at 7yrs old . She then took her talent to the next level and began performing with a girl group at age 13. Jaye's real passion for music rests in the art of creating a body of work, a process she describes as the "art of zeroing in" -- dreaming it, vocalizing it and crystalizing it. Fresh and diverse, she's comfortable performing with a full band before large audiences, but is just as excited to be alone with a mic before an intimate crowd, inviting fans into her world as she shares parts of her journey and lights the way to a piece of her beautiful soul. She attributes her sultry silky tone and music adeptness to God first, and then various members of her family--including her father who helped shape her vocal talent. His teenage group, the Evangelistic Gospel singers, sang in competitions with gospel great, Jessy Dixon, of the Zioneers in his hometown of San Antonio, TX; Her cousin, who she refers to as a musical genius, who worked with many legendary artists such as Diana Ross and the Temptations; And her mom and aunt, who play the piano beautifully, which is also her instrument of choice. Jaye returns to the music scene with her long overdue sophomore album -Zer0 In
