Jakub Karaś, known professionally as Kuba Karaś, was born on February 2, 1996, in Zabrze, Poland. He began making music with vocalist Justyna Święs as The Dumplings in 2011, serving as the duo’s producer, composer, and instrumentalist. The group released its debut album, No Bad Days, in 2014 and received the Fryderyk Award for Phonographic Debut of the Year in 2015. The Dumplings followed with Sea You Later (2015) and Raj (2018). In 2019, Karaś formed KARAŚ/ROGUCKI with Piotr Rogucki, releasing the albums Ostatni bastion romantyzmu (2020), Czułe kontyngenty (2022), and Atlas iskier (2024). Alongside his work in both projects, Karaś has worked as a producer and collaborator with artists including Ofelia, Szczyl, Tymek, Reni Jusis, and Marcelina. In 2026, he began releasing material under his own name, including “OBEJMIJ MNIE” and “nie kochaj,” the latter recorded with Piotr Fiedler.
