Fall of Serenity is a German melodic death metal band that emerged from the group Contrition. They opened for Integrity in October 1999 and recorded early material at Rape of Harmonies. The Smoldering Doom album was released in 2000; Grey Man’s Requiem followed in 2001 under Voice of Life Records, followed by Royal Killing (2004), Bloodred Salvation (2006), and The Crossfire (2007); the latter reached number 29 on the German Metal Rock Charts in September 2008. After a 2009 breakup, the band reunited in 2012 and released Open Wide, O Hell in 2024 via Lifeforce Records. The album earned a 2024 German Record Critics nomination in the Hard and Heavy category.
