The Evaporators, a Canadian garage rock band, were formed in 1986 in Vancouver, British Columbia. The group's founding member and vocalist/keyboardist was Nardwuar Mint, who is also known for his work as an interviewer of musicians and celebrities. Their initial singles included "Welcome to My Castle" (1992) and "I'm Going to France!" (1993). The band's debut album, United Empire Loyalists, was released in 1996. Subsequent albums include I Gotta Rash/We Are Thee Goblins (1998), Ripple Rock (2004), Gassy Jack & Other Tales (2007), Busy Doing Nothing (2012), and Ogopogo Punk (2016), with I'm Going to France! (1994) also among their early releases. The Evaporators have collaborated with various musicians, including Rodney Graham and Andrew W.K. Notable members include David Carswell, Scott Livingstone, John Collins, Stephen Hamm, Shawn Mrazek, Nick Thomas, Lisa Marr, Bill Baker, and Peter Miles.
