Overpass is an indie rock quartet based in Birmingham. Formed during the COVID-19 pandemic in the early 2020s, the band consists of Max Newbold (vocals, guitar), Elliot Rawlings (guitar), India Armstrong (bass), and Jake Bishop (drums). Known for their catchy, guitar-driven sound, energetic live performances, and a style that blends modern indie rock with Britpop influences, post-punk revival, and classic British guitar bands, they have built a following with singles such as “Take It or Leave It, ” “Otherside of Midnight, ” and “3AM,” which have allowed them to open for other acts and perform at festivals across the United Kingdom. Following the release of the EP *From the Night* in 2024, followed by Dependent in 2025, Overpass released their debut album Elsewhere, Always in June 2026, which reached No. 3 on the UK digital album chart.
