Last in Line is an British rock band formed in 2012 by former members of Dio's original lineup. The group, named after Dio’s 1984 album The Last in Line, initially consisted of drummer Vinny Appice, bassist Jimmy Bain, guitarist Vivian Campbell, and keyboardist Claude Schnell, who reunited following the death of frontman Ronnie James Dio in 2010. They added vocalist Andrew Freeman to perform Dio's original songs before transitioning into an original material project. The band released their debut album Heavy Crown in 2016, produced by Jeff Pilson. Campbell released their album II in 2019 via Frontiers Records. The band's third studio album, Jericho, was released in 2023. Throughout their career, Last in Line toured extensively, including notable performances at the Download Festival and opening for Saxon in Europe.
