CadaCross was a folk/power/melodic death metal band from Hämeenlinna, Finland, founded in 1997 with original members Georg Laakso and Tommi Saari on guitars, Janne Salo on drums, and Jarkko Lemmetty on bass. The group initially released two demos, Power of the Night (1997) and Bloody Way (1998). Following the demos' limited success, the band became inactive. After rebranding with a new lineup including Mathias Nygård from Turisas on keyboards, the band recorded their debut album, So Pale Is the Light, in 2001 under Low Frequency Records. The following year saw the release of their second and final album, Corona Borealis. During this period, the band's lineup underwent several changes. Unfortunately, a 2005 car accident left Georg Laakso permanently disabled, leading to CadaCross’s dissolution and his subsequent departure from Turisas in 2006.
