Anuradha Pal, born in Mumbai, India, is a tabla player and composer known for her contributions to Indian classical music. She trained under Ustad Alla Rakha and Ustad Zakir Hussain of the Punjab Gharana and began performing at age 13. In 1996, Pal founded Stree Shakti, an all-female classical music ensemble. She composed the background score for M.F. Husain's film Gaja Gamini. In January 2018, she received the Ministry of Women and Child Development's First Ladies Award from the President of India. Pal has conducted workshops at institutions including Harvard University and Berklee College of Music. She organized the Aatmanirbhar Kala Ke Sangh Music Festival in January 2021 and performed at the Dior Fall 2023 show. Pal has released several instructional DVDs and albums through her independent label Sur aaur Saaz, including Nirvana: Spiritual Bliss (2003) and A Tabla Solo by Anuradha Pal (2005).
