Disco las Palmeras! is a Spanish band from Galicia, formed in 2009 by Diego Castro on guitar and vocals, David Lorenzo on drums, and Selín Pallares on guitar. Their debut demo was selected as one of the best in Galicia by Mondosonoro, and they won the Festival Sin Códigos organized by Myspace, leading to performances at the 2010 Primavera Sound festival. The group's first album, Nihil Obstat, was released in 2011 under Matapadre Records, receiving critical acclaim and named the best national album of 2011 by Planeta Indie. In 2013, with a new lineup including José Castro on drums and Julián Goicoa on guitar, they released Ultra. Their subsequent album, Asfixia, was released in 2015, marking a stylistic shift with more prominent keyboard use.
