Rachel Brooke is an American country musician from Lovells, Michigan, known for her contributions to the underground country and Americana music scene. Influenced by her father, banjo player and guitarist Barry Van Guilder, she began performing as a teenager in an all-girl punk band before pursuing a solo career. Since 2008, she has released several studio albums, EPs, and collaborative projects, including Rachel Brooke (2008), Down in the Barnyard (2011), A Killer's Dream (2012), and The Loneliness in Me (2020). Her music combines traditional country and bluegrass with gothic blues, blues, jazz, and Americana influences. She has also collaborated with Lonesome Wyatt of Those Poor Bastards and performed at festivals including Muddy Roots, South by Southwest, the Americana Music Festival & Conference, and the Rochester International Jazz Festival.
