Taro Iwashiro, born on May 1, 1965, in Tokyo, Japan, is a Japanese composer, arranger, and pianist. In the mid-1990s, he released his first album Friends Forever (1994), followed by 空も飛べるはず ~白線流しオリジナル・サウンドトラック~ (1996) and ときめきメモリアル Piano Collection (1996). Notable collaborations include composing for films like Rurouni Kenshin: The Motion Picture (1998), Memories of Murder (2003), and both parts of the epic film series Red Cliff (2008-2009). Iwashiro has frequently led the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra for his soundtracks. Subsequent albums include All Alone (2011) and Taro Iwashiro: The 30/55 (2020).
