Wckr Spgt, an American musical group formed in 1981 in Claremont, California, emerged from a movement focused on experimental home recording and cassette culture. The band, consisting of Joel Huschle, Mark Givens, and Dave Carpenter, along with various guest musicians, initially released audio cassettes throughout the Pomona Valley at music stores. In the 1990s, Wckr Spgt signed with Shrimper Records, which distributed notable releases such as the EP Cream (1993) and the albums A Tea Party of Love (1995), Everybody's Dead (Oh, No) (1997), and Shoot the Man in the Tree (2005). Their 2017 release, Dense Pack, received a four-star rating from Punknews.org.
