Waive, a four-member rock band from Japan, has had a dynamic history since its formation in January 2000. They began their official music journey with the release of their demo tape "Spanner" on April 4, 2000. Waive initially captured attention with their unique music style and engaging live performances, releasing their first album "INDIES" in April 2002 and steadily gaining popularity. Despite their growing success, the band faced internal changes and ultimately disbanded after their "LAST GIGS." performance at SHIBUYA-AX on December 1, 2005. The band reunited temporarily over the years for various performances, with significant moments like their "GIG FINAL DISTORTION!" in April 2016 and participating in multi-band events. Despite declaring their permanent disbandment in 2018, Waive announced another surprising reunion in April 2023, with plans for a final disbandment following a solo performance at Nippon Budokan on January 4, 2026. This ongoing cycle of disbandment and reunion culminated in the release of their fourth studio album BLUE ALBUM on November 27, 2024, marking a significant milestone and celebrating their storied career as a band.
