Tulivu-Donna Cumberbatch

Tulivu-Donna Lynn Cumberbatch, born July 28, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York, was an American jazz singer. As a child, she sang in church choir and the All City High School Chorus before studying at Herbert H. Lehman College. Performing with her group The Magnificent Trio, she released solo albums on Ki-Ki Records, including Harmony (1990) and Daughters of the Nile (1999). She toured internationally and collaborated with artists including Yoko Kanno on Song to Fly and the anime series Cowboy Bebop, as well as Yuki Kajiura on the jazz version of the Noir track “Lullaby”. Cumberbatch died on January 17, 2022.
