Tree Fort Angst was an American indie pop band formed in 1991, originating from the solo project of Terry Banks, a former guitarist for St. Christopher. The band's first release was a cassette-only album titled Fifteen Songs of Vim and Vigor (1991), followed by the EP Six Songs on the German label A Turntable Friend in 1992. Tree Fort Angst expanded to include John Gotschalk on bass and Hunter Duke on drums, releasing several EPs and singles before disbanding in 1994. Their output was later compiled into two posthumous albums: Knee-Deep in the Rococo Excess of Tree Fort Angst (1997) and Last Page in the Book of Love (2002).
