The Travoltas is a Dutch pop punk band from the Netherlands. The group released their mini-album Kill! Kill! Kill! Sex! Sex! Sex! in early 1995. After recruiting Martijn Smits as drummer and Erik van Vugt on bass, they gained traction with Baja California (1997) and extensive European tours. Their breakthrough came with Modern World (1998), produced by Marky Ramone in Brooklyn, New York. The Travoltas continued to evolve musically, releasing notable albums such as Teenbeat (2000). They toured extensively across Europe and the US, performing at major festivals like Lowlands and Warped Tour. The band experimented with various sounds before disbanding in 2006 after a farewell show in Madrid, Spain. In 2014, they reunited, releasing new music and performing sold-out shows.
