Antis, a Lithuanian rock band, was formed in 1984 by Algirdas Kaušpėdas. The group gained national prominence after their performance at the Lituanica ’86 festival. Their debut album, Antis, was released in 1987. The band toured extensively across Europe and the United States. In 1990, Kaušpėdas left music for politics and architecture, leading to the band's disbandment. The band returned with concerts three times, including in 1996 for the festival Rock March through Lithuania '96, in 2003 in Forum Palace, LNK studio, and Vilnius Concert and Sports Palace, and in 2005 for one short concert. They fully reformed in November 2007, and released the album Ančių Dainos. In 2016, the band performed at Cido Arena in Panevėžys before announcing that its concert at Trakai Castle on July 5 would be its farewell performance.
