Pink Freud is a Polish jazz band formed in Gdańsk in 1998 and led by bassist Wojtek Mazolewski. Emerging from the Polish yass scene, the group developed a style combining jazz improvisation with elements of punk, rock, and electronic music. Pink Freud released their debut album, Zawijasy, in 2001, followed by Sorry Music Polska (2003). The band expanded its audience with Punk Freud (2007) and Monster of Jazz (2010), and also released live recordings including Live in Jazzgot and Alchemia (2008). Their subsequent albums include Horse & Power (2012), Pink Freud Plays Autechre (2016), which reinterpreted compositions by electronic duo Autechre, and piano forte brutto netto (2020). After a three-year break from performing, Pink Freud returned to the stage in 2025 and released a new version of Sorry Music Polska (2025).
