Sleazy Town is a French Hard Rock band from Paris, heavily influenced by Southern Rock, Sleaze Rock, and Glam Metal. Skillfully blending power, groove, and melody, the band delivers a distinctive hard-edged Rock sound shaped by long-standing influences such as Guns N’ Roses, Thin Lizzy, Mötley Crüe, The Darkness, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. From catchy riffs to fierce melodies, Sleazy Town digs deep into roaring guitar lines, unleashes a resolutely Rock’n’roll bass, and drives it all forward with a completely high-voltage drum attack.
Formed in 2011 by Andy Dean (vocals), JJ Jaxx (guitar), Steff Dust (bass), and Julian (drums), Sleazy Town quickly established itself on the French Hard Rock scene thanks to a powerful and unifying sonic identity that combines raw energy with infectious riffs. In 2020, following the departure of Steff Dust, Macabre joined on bass, and in 2025 Dewez came aboard on guitar, strengthening an already highly expressive guitar section. Together, the five members channel their musical energy into an explosive vocal encounter.
In August 2013, the band released a demo titled Midnight Fight, recorded at Studio Plus in Paris. Featuring five tracks including a cover of the Glam Metal classic Talk Dirty To Me by Poison, the EP was pressed in only 500 copies and quickly sold out in the Paris area and across France. It even caught the attention of the American label Demon Doll Records, which chose to distribute it throughout the United States from Los Angeles.
Unfinished Business, Sleazy Town’s debut studio album, was released on April 26, 2024. Recorded at Alias Studio in Paris, this double album features twenty-four original tracks, an exceptional achievement for a first release. The band subsequently signed with the independent French label MO Music, ensuring distribution in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands. Praised by critics, including Rolling Stone, Hard Force, and Rock and Folk, the album sold numerous copies and launched the band’s career, propelled by its single Mystic Religion.
Captivating audiences with the intensity of their live performances, Sleazy Town has relentlessly toured since its formation. The band has appeared at several renowned festivals such as Fertois Rock In Fest (2020), Mennecy Metal Fest (2023), Hellfest Off (2024), and Rock Metal Camp (2025), as well as in many well-known venues across the country. Each concert is a showcase of power, raw energy, and technical mastery, confirming the band’s reputation as a true live powerhouse on the French Hard Rock scene.
