Os indie-rockers de Liverpool Red Rum Club foram formados em 2016 e são compostos por Francis Doran (voz principal), Tom Williams (guitarra, voz de apoio), Michael McDermott (guitarra/voz de apoio), Simon Hepworth (baixo), Neil Lawson (bateria/percussão) e Joe Corby (trompete). A banda lançou seu LP de estreia Matador em 2019 e continuou a se reunir com seu segundo esforço, The Hollow of Humdrum, em 2020. O LP cimentou seu status como um dos novos atos mais empolgantes do Reino Unido, com faixas como "Kids Addicted" e "Drown" capturando seu melhor lado. O terceiro álbum do Red Rum Club, How to Steal the World , chegou em 2021, enquanto 2024 marcou o lançamento do seu quarto álbum, Western Approaches, que recebeu o nome de uma antiga doca naval em Liverpool e estreou-se no número 8 da tabela de álbuns do Reino Unido.
