Daryll-Ann was a Dutch alternative rock band formed in 1988 in Ermelo, Netherlands. The group consisted of high school students Jelle and Coen Paulusma, Jeroen Vos, Frank van der Bij, and later Anne Soldaat. Drawing initial influences from punk records and songs by The Cure, Daryll-Ann released their first EP on the small Kelt label. In 1992, they played at the Noorderslag festival and released their debut album Renko on the Solid label. After lineup changes and signing with Hut Records, Daryll-Ann gained significant attention with the EP I Could Never Love You, which received positive reviews from British press outlets like Melody Maker. The band's subsequent albums included Seaborne West (1995), Weeps (1996), and Trailer Tales (2002). Despite critical acclaim, commercial success remained elusive. In 2004, Daryll-Ann disbanded after releasing their final album Don’t Stop. Post-breakup, members pursued solo projects and collaborations with other artists. In 2024, the original lineup reunited and released Spring.
