Sequester is a Canadian heavy metal project created by Ryan Boc in 2005, who remains its sole member. Boc began writing original material in 2005 after positive feedback on his Blind Guardian covers, leading to the project's first demo Visions of the Erlking in 2007. The single "Eternal Sleep" was followed by the album Winter Shadows (2008), followed by the EP Nameless One (2009) and the second album Shaping Life and Soul (2011). Subsequent releases included Missing Image (2014) and Hermit (2018). Sequester’s work was noted for blending heavy metal, progressive rock, and folk influences.
