The Raleigh Ringers, a concert handbell choir, was founded in 1990 by director David M. Harris in Raleigh, North Carolina. The group performs interpretations of sacred, secular, and popular music arranged for handbells. Their first album, The Raleigh Ringers, was released in 1995. Over the years, they have expanded their repertoire with albums such as Going to Extremes (2005) and Passages (2014). The group has performed extensively across the United States, including 39 states and the District of Columbia. In 2014, The Raleigh Ringers were nominated for a Midsouth Emmy in the Entertainment category, marking the first time any handbell group received an Emmy nomination.
