Satariel, a Swedish death metal band originating from Boden, was formed in 1993. The group emerged from the remnants of Beheaded and Dawn of Darkness, featuring Pär "Aemelgoth" Johansson on vocals, Magnus "Azazel" Alakangas on guitar, and Mikael "Asael" Grambacke aka Mikael Degerman on bass. Their initial recordings included a demo titled Thy Heavens' Fall in 1993, which led to interest from Impure Creations Records. The band's lineup evolved with the addition of Fredrik "Thorn" Andersson and Andreas "Astaroth" Nilzon, leading to further demos like Desecration Black (1994) and Promo 96. Their debut album, Lady Lust Lilith, was released in 1998 under Pulverised Records. The band's subsequent albums included Phobos And Deimos (2002), featuring guest vocals from Messiah Marcolin, and Hydra (2005). Satariel also released the EP Chifra in 2007.
