The Rhythm Pigs are an American punk band, originally from El Paso, Texas, before relocating to San Francisco. Their first release was An American Activity, a 1984 EP that showcased their early hardcore sound. The band toured extensively throughout Europe and North America in the mid-1980s. The group's debut album, The Rhythm Pigs (1986), featured the song "Break or We'll Break Your Face" which included rap elements. Choke on This followed in 1987. Both albums were released by Mordam Records, highlighting their diverse musical styles within punk rock. Their 1993 album El Paso featured more melodic tracks. In 1995, they released Baby Falcon Getaway, returning to a raw, fast-paced hard rock sound with covers of "Sundown" by Gordon Lightfoot and "Boogie Stop Shuffle" by Charles Mingus. The band's lineup evolved over the years, with notable members including Jay Smith, Greg Adams, Ed Ivey, Kenny Craun, Billy Atwell, and Schmeckie.
