Dark Age, a German metal band from Hamburg, was formed in 1994 as Dyer’s Eve by Eike Freese, André Schumann, and Oliver Fliegel. The group initially released demos such as Doubtful Existence before renaming to Dark Age in 1995. Their first album, The Fall, was published in 1999 under Remedy Records. In the following years, they released several albums including Insurrection (2000), The Silent Republic (2002), and Dark Age (2004). The band played at notable festivals such as Wacken Open Air. In 2008, they released Minus Exitus, followed by Acedia in 2009. Their last album, A Matter of Trust, was published in 2013.
