Rachel Hair is a Scottish folk harpist born and raised in Ullapool. She began playing the Celtic harp at age ten through the organization Fèis Rois and later earned a first-class honours degree in music from the University of Strathclyde. In 2007, Hair released her debut album, Hubcaps and Potholes, followed by The Lucky Smile (2009), No More Wings (2012), and Tri (2015). She also collaborated with Ron Jappy on the 2019 album Sparks. Hair performed at international festivals including Celtic Connections and the Edinburgh International Harp Festival, where she later served as a coordinator. Recognized as an expert in Manx harp music, she taught regularly in the Isle of Man and the Netherlands. In 2020, she received a nomination for "Music Tutor of the Year" at the Scots Trad Music Awards. Her career involves extensive international performance and educational work within the Celtic music community.
