Kochkraft by KMA is a German band that was founded in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2014. The founding members are Lana Giese (vocals), Andreas Klees (guitar), Beray Habip (drums) and David Trapp (bass, synthesizer). The band currently consists of Lana Giese, Manfred "Matze" Yildirim (guitar), Nicki Louder (keyboards, synthesizer) and Beray Habip . Musically, the group plays electropunk with influences from new wave, post-punk and Neue Deutsche Welle. The band self-deprecatingly describes their style as "Neue Deutsche Kelle". Their debut album Endlich Läuse was released in 2018 on the Kick the Flame label. This was followed by Alle Kinder sind tot (2022) on Uncle M and Hardcore Never Dies Das (2025) on the Hamburg label Grand Hotel van Cleef. The latter reached number 38 in the German album charts. The well-known singles include "Eins zum Lieben, eins zum Laster" (2018), "Alle Kinder sind tot" (2022, together with Sperling) and "Ehrlich" (2025). The latter announces the new album Hardcore Never Dies Das, which will be released in April 2025 and reach number 38 in the German charts. Kochkraft by KMA is known for its energetic live performances and has played over 300 concerts. The band is committed to social issues, especially feminism and gender equality, and initiated the "Cock am Ring" project in 2022, which promotes FLINTA+ artists.
