Divokej Bill is a Czech folk rock ensemble from Úvaly established in 1998. The ensemble was founded by the guitarist Václav Bláha, the banjo player Ondřej Pospíšil, the bassist Miloš Jurač, and the drummer Ota Smrkovský. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by a blend of country influences with punk rock, folk, and alternative rock sounds. The group achieved professional recognition for a career that included being joined by the members Roman Procházka, Štěpán Karbulka, Adam Karlík, Martin Pecka, and Honza Veselý after the departure of Pospíšil and Smrkovský. Their recording career began with the debut demo recording Sedm statečných (1998) followed by the debut studio recording Propustka do pekel (2000). Divokej Bill achieved professional recognition for performing club dates and appearing on the Staropramen Tour with the ensemble Žlutý pes. On their third studio recording Mezi nima (2003), the group achieved professional recognition for using synthesizers. Their discography included the eponymous studio recording Divokej Bill (2006), which received a Český slavík award for Best Group. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Mlsná (2009), the studio recording 15 (2013), and the studio recording Tsunami (2017). They achieved professional recognition for celebrating their 20th anniversary with a sold-out concert at the O2 Arena in Prague on January 24, 2019.
