Gabriel "Gabzy" Akinyemi, nascido em Londres a 22 de janeiro de 1996 no seio de uma família nigeriana, é um cantor e compositor que estabeleceu o seu próprio estilo no cruzamento de Afrobeats, R&B, soul e Afrofusion. Descobrindo a sua paixão pela música desde muito cedo (cantava no coro da escola desde os 9 anos), começou a escrever as suas próprias canções aos 14 anos, inspirando-se em géneros tão variados como o reggae, o hip-hop e os ritmos africanos. Ganhou destaque em 2016 com o EP Summers, produzido com o produtor americano Melvitto, que subiu nas tabelas de Afrobeats do Reino Unido e acumulou mais de cem milhões de ouvintes. Gabzy seguiu-se com o EP Malone (2020), seguido de At the End of the Night (2022). Esgotou várias salas de Londres antes de regressar com os singles "Jambazz" (classificado em 18º lugar nas tabelas de Afrobeats em 2023), "Too Fine" e "Round 1" em 2024. Em 2025, lançou o single de sucesso "Too Much Sense", um dueto com Fireboy DML, que alcançou o 15.º lugar na tabela de Afrobeats do Reino Unido e o 42.º lugar nos Estados Unidos.
